Selling ALL of my Proof Roosevelt Dimes...

I'm tired of the hype trying to decide whether to have a sub par everyday common grade of PR69DCAM or go the route and have all of the expensive PR70DCAM Dimes that actually look the same as the 9's. I was on TT one night and some of the 70's I was looking over were crap! Most had haze and spotting and looked like garbage. I have sent some in to get grades that were better then the 70's IMHO and received 68. I just would rather concentrate on my MS collection of Dimes.
If and when I decide to get back into the Proof side of Dimes, virtually ALL of my dimes, with the exception of my 1966 MS69 S.M.S. are replaceable.
If you are interested in anything I have, you can click the "My eBay" link below on my sig line. I have a run of Roosies from 1955-1960 and 1962-2005 Clad. They all go off on Sunday night 10/15/06.

I couldn't agree more with what you say. My jumping in point was clad proof dimes and when I started upgrading 69's I felt it was a waste. I have found the MS to be much more enjoyable than the proof. I haven't spent a dime on the clad proof in a year or more. I would like to get a upgrade to 69DC on the 1969 and 1971. I might not agree on the silver proof coins as there is truly a difference between the best coins and the common ones.
I'll always love the Roosey's best but I think my money is going to Merc's and Barber's.
Thanks Robert
Concentrate on those circ coins. That's the way to go!
Oh well, have to take my chances with the rest of ya now.

DRIZZTIs there any particular coin that you are interested in? I listed these for sale before I mentioned it here. I'll give you free S/H/I if you win any.

I started rejecting non U.S. sales after reading about some of the nightmares others had with shipping to places outside the U.S. and Canada.
I'll bidding on a few.

P.S. Digital Camera will be in my hands soon!

I know what you mean about trying to get good scans or pics of coins. I can't get a good scan on my Lexmark 6200 and I can't get a good pic on my digitial camera and it takes real good pictures of anything else.
I have a note on my desk about a forum member "Smitty" who uses a Microtek Scanmaker 5600, and his scans were beautiful.
Also, I want to thank Waldo here on the boards for the 1969 he is sending me FREE. It's a 63, but as he says and I agree, it fills the hole!
Thanks!!! Again Waldo!!!!!

I also am proud to be a part of the improvement thats coming.
I sometimes think it feels better helping another, than adding to my own set.
<< <i>Paul something tells me we WILL be seeing some real fine improvements involving your clads. I for one can hardly wait to see to what great things happen with within the set over the next couple months. >>
Yes Dan, I hope to be making my move real soon, but my best guess is that even with all 67's to fill the holes, I would be sitting in 3-4 place. I certainly can live with that, but that will not happen. I am missing some real keys in 7 then ie: 1969, 1971, 1972, 1980-P, 1980-D and so on. the first 3 I haven't seen in a MS67 in ages. Most I assume are in strong hands.
Does anyone here remember me talk about the TT lot with the 1971 and (2) 1972 MS66FB's, with 4 other FB's I let get away for just >$200? I'll have to do a search and see if I can bring that old thread up. I'm still kicking myself for that one. Man If I had those 2 coins, my set would be "Oh too sweet!"
I will never be able to compete with Dr. Brown and J.H.F., but I will make them wish that there was never a 3rd place!

<< <i>I am now the proud owner of the 1966 SMS MS69! Thanks for the opportunity! >>
I can't thankyou enough for bidding. I'm glad its going to a good Home. I initially bought the coin from MNMCOIN and he had it for a BIN at $500. It didn't sell and I offered him $300 and the rest is history!

Thats funny because I saw that BIN price too and offered him $350 for it and he said he just sold the coin! I guess I got the coin anyway lol.
BTW I now have a 1966 SMS MS68 for sale.....
Ah heck, while I am at it I have 1965 SMS MS68 for sale too for $49.95 and free shipping to anyone who bid on Stooge's auctions tonight!
I don't want to hear any complaints. You outbid me on the 1960 Pr69Dcam that I needed to replace a coin that turned in it's holder. I thought I bid enough to not have to watch the auction. Darn.
