I need help from an experienced AGE or APE collector…
I’m new to this…bought a few gold and plat proofs this year for the first time since I used to pool my money with my Grandfather to buy proof sets in the late 60s.
That turned to be a speculative bubble (remember the Hunt brothers attempt to corner the silver market…$50 Silver for a couple of weeks!). Anyway…
It seems like the only fractional gold or platinum eagles with the W mintmark will be in the Unc sets and individual pieces currently being offered by the mint. I understand all the hoopla about the mint first “appearing” to promise exclusive W mintmark on the full eagles in the 20th anniversary sets, but it seems to me that the fractional gold and platinum with W mintmarks, if they are indeed exclusive to this offering and the “bullion” pieces don’t have the “W”….well that seems like a sure fire winner.
Looking for correction if my facts are wrong and guidance if they are correct. Thanks!

From there, looking at the fractional bullion they are going to sell, "Each coin bears the “W” mint mark.... "
Reading this, it tells me that the individual coins (the above is quoted from the 1/10 but it is also in the others) will have the "W" mintmark on them.
Just like the 4pc sets.
Edited just to add....I consider all the non-proof offerings as "bullion" but you may be only considering the "regular" unc pieces as bullion, which, in that case, they won't have "W" and the others will be "unique" as you put it
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I would be willing to bet if you will have a little patience and wait until the members who can answer your question get out of bed and sign on they will probably answer it.
The forum is great, but it is not about instant gratification. Some/most will answer when they are awake or have your answer.
I'll bet ya a dollar to a donought you will get an answer. Sorry I could not answer it right now. jws
Absolutely noted,
Still paying 4K for AGE 3 sets

Expedia.com has a somewhat brief and educational article stating that in 1968 West Point took over most proof-coinage production from Philadelphia, and since 1975, it has been used solely for proof coinage, with the exception of the extremely ugly Anthony dollar and a portion of the mintage of cents, that can bore you to death, produced in the early 1980s. (These cents are indistinguishable from those minted at Philadelphia.) Philly produces all the dies used for all branch mints.
The West Point Mint gained official status as a branch mint on March 31, 1988. West Point is now the United States' only production facility for gold, silver and platinum American Eagle coins.
