    Yes. Use Microsoft Paint.

    Sure....I guess this is easy...

Open both jpegs. Size them (using the crop tool to a spacific size first helps them look similar) to something easy to remember.
Choose 1....then resize the canvas to allow the 2nd image to fit (twice as wide). Don't forget to position image #1 to one side, not the center side to side, but centered top to bottom.
Then choose image #2 with the move tool, the one that looks like 4-arrows, click & drag onto image #1. Using the same move tool, move image #2 into position. DONE.
When saving you'll want to flatten the image, but you can save the image as a Photoshop doc to preserve the layers in case you ever want to move image #2 or delete it altogether.

    Hope this helps

    1. Select Photomerge

    2. Select the two files you need for the one photo. Note: My files are almost always made to be 440x440 before I save them.

    3. Put them together and resize if you choose to.

    4. Save the new photo to your files and rename.

    5. Your done.

Click on "File" at the very top left. Down to "New". Then "Photomerge" should show up in the drop down.

    Ken,

    Is this in PS Elements?
    I have PS 6.0 on a PC & don't see this option.
I have PS7 on a Mac at work & have not seen this option, but never needed it at work.

Augie this is in PS 4.0 (Editor) which I purchased last year with the new computer. Finding Photomerge did take me a little while because it was in a different place compared to the older version of PS that I had before. Possibly this is whats happening now with the folks that cannot find photomerge in their version.
