NPB's on eBay are driving me nuts!

It seem that I am getting more and more NPB's as time goes by. Right now I have an $875 coin in limbo. I have waited the seven days eBay requires to file an NPB claim and now have to wait another seven to give him a chance to respond. By the time all of this is over and I can offer the coin to the second highest bidder, he may not want it or will have spent his money on another coin!

Thanks for letting me vent!image

I hate when buyers don't contact you right away. I've always found that to be a little stressfull.

    I feel for you.

My last NPB was the ripoff artist investcoins, so in that case I was glad about not being paid.

I have had two in the past month. One paid up once he got the NPB notice from eBay, the other one said he would send the money today.

Glad to see that at least I am not alone. eBay really needs to fix this issue!

I have sent several e-mails to this guy and as yet there has been no reply! I think I am going to give the guy 24 hours and then consider the coin for sale again!

  • I agree the NPB situation on eBay has become worse. It seems that the less expensive the item, the more the likelyhood of a NPB. I very seldom have a problem for items that are more than $100.00. People who use PayPal tend to be the best buyers in just about every aspect.

I filed a NPB notice with eBay last night and got an e-mail from the buyer today, funny how that works.

It's amazing how a notice from eBay can get quick action.

In the same vein, it's amazing how quickly filing a PayPal dispute will prompt action from recalcitrant sellers...
  • I've got one myself at the moment too. I don't sell much on ebay but every batch of ten or so items generates a NPB either a complaint from an idiot, the last one was guy complaining about receiving a MS67 dollar when I shipped a PR69DCAM! I know what I shipped ya fool!

Ohh a vent in the morning is a good thing

You guys must be having bad luck. I have never had a NPB in 5 years. Of course I do not open up auctions World Wide either.

This guy was in the US. In any event he was NARU'd today so it is a non issue.

Mike, for future reference, it is my understanding that if you have not been paid within ten days from the time the auction ended, you are under no obligation to hold the coin for the buyer.

Well, there was a very strange turn of events today, the NARU'd buyer PAID FOR THE COIN!image

It seems there was a death in his family and coins and eBay were not his main concern during that time, which I understand fully. I hope he can get his eBay account reinstated!

  • The worst thing that happened to me was I sent a notice thru paypal,I waited 20 days my fault after 10 I relist and file a claim, anyways the guy paid that day , left positive feedback,3 months later I got a chargeback from his credit card,he said he did not order it? he won a few other items before and paid promptly, now it gets weird, paypal, had a delivery confirmation, he left positive feedback, and I am still out $57.50
paypal said his creditcard company over rides there policy WTF!!! because I did not purchase seller protection they let him win image I spent hours on the phone with paypal reps with no luck, he was booted of ebay but I got stuck with a loss and he got the coin? now after 10 days I give 1 notice after 15 days it is done,I take the loss or if paypal feels like I win I get my FVF back.
