Photo cert Whats the point?

I am about to make my first submission to pcgs. (2) gold age sets. I know that photo cert. is $5 per coin but is there any reason to get it on the 20th age coins?

Do they send me actual pictures, or are they online photos only?

Sorry this submission form has me way overwhelmed.

Also can I just submit these in the exact package that came from the mint without any added packaging and simply attach the forms to the box in a ryder envelope?

Thanks Rob

some people get them because they keep their coins in bank safety deposit boxes, and they don't mind having their photos laying around home

the photos are your coins pictured

As noted already, and for obvious reasons, some keep their coins in a safety deposit box. Also, if you`re going to insure your collection or keep it for your records/documentation in case of like theft. I`m sure for other reasons too.

I'd get the pics just because Phil takes such incredible coin photos. image
