Shooting range revisited. Found the sweet spot!

I went back today to the site I hit on Friday. It's an area that locals use to drink and shoot firearms. Again I found several clad pieces, pennies, lead rounds, cartridges, and various tops from spirits. As I was leaving I decided to have a quick go near the creek. Again I found empty cartridges, but the cartridges were much older. And only a few pop tops. And I found several steel cans in various stages of decomposition. Interesting. My luck was with me today. I found these two ladies about 4 inches down and a foot apart near the creek bank. A 42-S and 36-D. My eyes couldn't believe it. I found the sweet spot. Unfortunately I had to leave, but I'm going back...soon.

and what about alcohol, firearms and metal detecting ?
I haven't tried that yet. I've tried panning and alcohol a few years ago. That didn't work! Hope to hit that creekbank again this weekend. I'm dreaming of Morgans. Wishful thinking. Truthfully, I'll be happy just to find an old button.
