Coin Vault selling 20th Anniv. 2 coin set

Just happen to be channel checking and stop at the Coin Vault. You can buy the 2 coin gold/silver set that has already been graded by NGC MS-69 for only double the price currently offered at the US Mint (without it being graded of course) for $1799.00 dollars. Coin Vault even said they will include the box they came in from the Mint. OH BOY...what a steal....Any takers ????

They also had an NGC 70 graded 2 piece set. I think it was only $3999.99

The biggest problem with the 2 coin set will be the massive proliferation of them when all the empty boxes come back from grading and get refilled with fresh coins from the mint's single uncirculated coin sales.
At least Crime vault is washing their hands of this by sending the suckers the box too.

HSN is selling the 2 coin set for $1,999.95 and the 3 coin gold set for $8,999.95

Edited to add: Those prices are for the coveted ICG 70 sets, limited quantity of course.

They're probably selling the set I cancelled from the mint when they announced the sale of singles. If I remember, the box was going to cost around $110.00 or so. Hmmmmm.

Maybe they're going to sell the empty boxes for $250 or so! image

So if the Mint limited orders to 10ea per customer how'd they get so many sets? Have each of their employees oder 10 sets?

I was watching this morning trying to get rid of their NGC PF 70 3 piece gold anniversary sets for $11,000. They have been trying to sell them now for two weeks. They are knocking another TPG as
"I Can't Grade", saying the only true TPGs are NGC and PCGS.

It's a good plan, but if two 70's are not had, it's a break even. NGC 69's are only going for cost, this of course is because they grade like crap.

So if you get 69's and replace them with the singles, there's really no money to be made.

This is unfortunate though. The Mint should of had the Unc "W" only in the sets for 2006 and then come out with singles in 2007. That would have been the right way to do it.
