Why didn't the Yanks hire Girardi?

I think he would have been a much better fit than Sweet Lou, IMO...

  • Wouldn't it be awkward for Girardi to be managing a few players who he was teammates with like Bernie and Jeter?

Girardi's message of playing as a team and hustling would be lost on a team of overpaid, aging veterans....look at the makeup of the Marlins...young, impressionable, moldable.

That tactic wouldn't work with the yanks, IMO.

Said the lover... I mean "fan" of a $25,680,727 player who hit .290 this year and .071 in the playoffs image
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Why do you insist on stalking me and derailing every thread?

Girardi will be a great fit with a young team, but a veteran club like the yanks would be a bad one.
