He's done as a yankee? I voted no, but I hope he gets traded someplace they will respect him.

last time I checked, he wasn't on the hill serving up meatballs and surrendering 7 runs.

No, he's just giving us an .077 BA for the $ quarter billion he's getting.

arod wll be traded to the cubs. i think it would be a great fit for him. yanks would get ramirez and 3 top level prospects for him.

or he gets traded to mets to play 2nd base lol

You are a one trick pony, ya know that?

Get over it man...where's the disgust for the rest of the roster making $200+ million this year, getting shut out in consecutive games?

I would think Cashman is going down with this ship also?

I have said it since April - the Yankee pitching staff stinks. Why won't Yankee "fans" realize this is the reason why they collapsed again? They would rather heap all the blame on A-Rod (granted, he hasn't done the job offensively, but who did today for them?)

You won't here any argument from me on your point ctsoxfan. I haven't seen any passion from the Yankees in the playoffs since 2001. I am 100% behind developing talent rather than going out and spending a fortune on over-the-hill players. Their pitching staff is a disgrace. I bet Guidry could do better at 50 then most of the guys they have now.

Oh, and my answer to the thread title is HOPEFULLY !!
  • I can't believe any Yankees fan would want to trade A Rod, he is one of the best talents to ever put on a uniform. he's taken a tremendous amount of bs this year for not having a good season. I think that this side of Albert Pujols the rest of the players in baseball would be happy with 35 H. R and 121 RBI's. i know as an A's fan i'd love to see him wearing the green and gold nest year. Go A's.

I was thinking the same thing...

Realistically, for the Yankees to move ARod, they are in no way going to get back the caliber of players for him. Yes, he is a tremendous talent, but he also has a 'team cooler' reputation going with it. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cubbies give up a Ramirez and a pitcher for him. Other than them, I don't know of any other team that could afford to pick up ARod, unless he's willing to restructure his deal...
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

Arod is one of the five best players in baseball, but it is Steinbrenner that has to be considered as part of the equation. I think he gets traded, Cashman gets fired, and Torre resigns.

I voted yes but who knows. Would love him as the Phillies third baseman. Even at 0-17 in key situations it is better than Nunez. Maybe we can have him for April to mid
September and then use a bunch of role players for the stretch run and playoffs. Gemmint, watta you think? Maybe the Yanks would pay for 80% of the contract? Our
cheap arse ownership sure won't fork over the bucks...

Anyhow my sympathies to Gemmintman and the other classy Yankee fans. Way to stick with your team all the way to the end. Tough for a Philly guy to do so my
hats are off to you especially....go get em' next year!image
