You can buy it here directly from the French mint, the Monnaie de Paris.

I just went to the US mint site and cancelled all my SF Mint commems and bought the gold sower.

Im an anti-patriot. This is just such a COOL DESIGN ! (Plus, if I get smoe cash, I dont think the SF Mint commems have a cap on production).

I need some darkside support here. Am I just a sucker ??

  • I have the silver with gold insert 2004. Beautiful coin. Have stopped buying US mint and Proof sets so I'm with you. Got it on Ebay for about $75.

I received my gold (2004) and silver (2006) sowers from the Paris Mint... BEAUTIFUL COINS...

they're perfect, tho the holders then came in have some scratches image

forgive my poor images, but here's the gold. Check out this Typo on the COA.. I guess I should send them an email about it.
What are the chances of a typo from a 2 year old coin?? my number was 204. I wonder if these go sequentially !??!?!

Nice coin, Hyperion. And yes, I would assume the numbers go sequentially.

Clad, how do you like the subject of the silver coin? 25th anniversary of the abolition of the death penalty.

Don't get me started man. Europe is but a mere fragment now of what it once was.

Hyperion, that's a great image of one of my favorite icons!

The sower is as universal and timeless a symbol as you'll find on a coin-well worth the cost despite its, uhhh, modernity?image

it was a bit more expensive than I though considering the rarity and actual gold content, but I decided to reach.

    Mint, Fr

    Link to Gold coins

In europe ? Europe price VAT included 566.00 EURO
To the US ? Export price without VAT* 473.24 EURO

Still a good chunk of change.

You'll notice my ebay selling never stops, this is why. there's always something 'else' I want !

Max mintage for the gold 1k. My COA was number 209, but I dont know if they go sequentially.
Notice the 2004. I dont know what this mint rules are as far as when selling terminates. Id like it to stay under 210 image

Yep, crazy typo: a gold proof coin which is 0.92 fine silver -- maybe it's gold-plated? image

Seriously though, nice coins and interesting COA error. image
