Question regarding a graded 1952 topps Mantle RC

I Just found an SGC 88 graded Mickey Mantle card the asking price is $35,000.00 and the scans of the card are very very nice both front and back, nice white borders, extra sharp corners and great centering. I am going to try to attach a scan of the card as i would like everyones opinion as i am not willing to shell out the 35K unless i know for a fact that it is genuine and I have never dealt in SGC therefore I am not sure how their authorization numbers work as opposed to PSA and BGS's

SGC should be held in the same regard as PSA/BGS. I own as many SGC slabbed cards as I do BGS. The only thing I'm not to keen on, is how they don't knock down on centering as much as the other 2 bigs. BUT, if you get a clean looker and it's in an SGC slab, it's good to go. For autograph authentication, SGC personally uses JSA; that should tell you that they are serious.

If you're considering dropping that kind of money....or if I was, I would fork out the extra dough for a round trip airline ticket and view it in person if the seller would permit such.

SGC is quite reputable, if a legit seller and you like the way the card looks and is priced , why not ? I believe you can verify the registration number with SGC to confirm the holder's contents.

BY the way the 1952 Topps ( or 1952 Bowman ) is NOT his RC. The 1951 Bowman is.

I agree with goose3, if in doubt, check it out. 35K is alot and no doubt better to see for yourself..........
