Andy Madec auction

I just read through the Andy Madec auction catalog that came bundled with the SMR and I was somewhat surprised at what I saw. In the auction, there were numerous supposedly EX/EXMT (full and partial) sets with a few token PSA graded cards. These are the kind of sets that are all over ebay and don't really get much. Is it surprising to see these in an auction and does Madec have a history of selling these (in comparison to Mastro, Mile High, REA, etc.?

I don't know what Madec auction you were looking at, because the one i received had nothing but 9's and 10's for the first half of the book. I guess i look at the auction as "half-full".

i see what you refer to in the catalog, and on the surface it looks like a great opportunity for the acquisition of some good sh!t at a bargain....Madec has always offered quality auctions, so i doubt that the bidding will be like eBay where trust is in the toilet and most of what is offered in the Complete set w/some PSA Graded cards category is often not what it appears to be....overall it looks like more great stuff, and so Madec will continue to be the source of my obsessive, simmering jealousy image

I know there are some good stuff in the auction. It's just I really had never seen that many low-mid grade partial/full ungraded sets offered in a major auction house before.
