Question about a sold item on EBay

Hello,
I'm fairly new to the selling game, but I put up an 2006 Allen & Ginter original card pull for sale and it did sell last Sunday. I put on there that payment needs to be received within 7 days, so technically there is still time. I haven't heard from the buyer even though I sent him an invoice on Sunday and yesterday sent a polite note asking him if I might have mistakenly not sent it to him. Nothing. I checked his feedback and it looks like he has good feedback save a grudge match going on with some other guy. I noticed that he bid on and won some other original A&G cards, but I don't see any feedback given or received for the items. I know it's premature, but I'm wondering how I might protect myself when sending so that I don't get myself into one of those grudge matches. I'm asking for PayPayl, but also payment can be by MO or CC, so it still might be coming. It's just not giving me warm and fuzzy feelings about this transaction and it could be he/she just doesn't pay and that might be preferable, since my main concern is not getting screwed.
Any insight? Thanks.

They simply put a money order in the mail and than wait for the card to arrive. With all of the post auction emails (Ebay you won item, Ebay your invoice, Vendio checkout, personal email , etc etc) if you were to answer all of the emails, it would take an hour if you won 5-10 auctions a night.
While I'll admit it would be nice if every buyer would respond with "Hi a money order is on its way", it just never seems to work that way.
Just be patient and a money order will be in your mailbox before you know it...........
Just remember to be nice and others will be too. On occasion you'll get someone who's a bit of an ass and they'll try to jerk you around about something. Also, I'm not sure if you can still do this or not, but check on Ebay under "Help", if someone bids and you don't want to sell, you can cancel their bid. You can also specify bid preferences in your "My Ebay" acct. Like, if someone has a negative feedback score they can't bid on my items. Or if they are from outside of countries I ship to, they can't bid. So on and so forth.
But rest assure, you money is probably on it's way. And, if you're unsure about things, just make sure you spell it out in the auction description. Remember that it's your auction, you set the rules as long as they abide by Ebay's standard.
I hate to always hear the sellers complaining. I always pay yet I almost always have one or two items that I have to nagging the seller to send me.
