Well I guess it doesn't work since I cannot read anyone's chat.
I saw thigpen's entry only .... then RYK, Sandhawk and theNumish showed up but apparently it doesn't work. I saw one question from Numish that asked where everyone was .... but no response again.

After you type you hit enter. If you click on the little box it opens another chat window.

Chats work best if they are scheduled ahead of time. (I learned of the chat at 5:20 AM Pacific time, a little late to have even had a chance.) Otherwise people just pop in, see that no one is there and then pop back out again. Your best chance to get people to stay is to schedule a set time then get there a little early with one or two others people so that something is actually happening (a discussion is actually underway) at the scheduled time so that people who pop in see activity immediately or they will be gone again.

Another thing is to consider the time. Your 7:30 Pacific was 10:30 on the east coast on a work night when many people were shutting down for the night. 6:30 might work better, and weekends might work better than through the week.
