I like the set, and can tell you finding high grade cards from the set is next to impossible to find 400 is probaly about right on a box.

I think you need to find out if it has 2 card packs or 4 card packs, the 2 card packs will usually have a gum stained card and a wax stained card and that doesn't leave any good cards. The 4 card packs come with some good cards.

If you search ebay using search words 1977 topps mexican there are a couple informative guides on the left side that will probably help you with the SP cards and overall information.

I bought a few 2 card packs a while pack for pretty cheap. Yeah, they were covered in wax. I opened one and resold the others. You could see thru the wrapper who was on top and bottom. I agree 4 card packs are the only way to go.

Good point. This auction is for a box of the 2 card packs, he tells you so towards the bottom of the auction.

I always liked this rare set from the 70's myself, I'd love to find a PSA 8 Payton from it, but the few that exist are quite expensive. Does anyone have an opinion on what a wax box of the 4 card packs should cost (if you could find one)?
