Hello everyone. This is my innagural post on the BST under my new handle "numisma". Most of you know me, and have dealt with me, under my old handle "jaderarecoin". The following coins are being offered for sale here only. I must apologize for the poor images, but please understand that I am in the process of purchasing a new coin imaging set-up. The images below were taken with a camera intended for shooting pics on vacation. If you need additional images or information on any of the coins below, please email me through my sig line, or pm me.
TERMS: PayPal, check or money order. FREE s/h/i on all items listed here. 30 day return privilege (100% refund + your return s/h/i).
1808 Capped Bust Half, O-109a, R.3, VF-30. $270. This is a tough variety to grade. Based on details alone, this is a solid VF. IF grading by surfaces, this coin would grade EF or better as ample luster is observed in the protected areas (especially on the reverse). The images don't quite capture this coins beauty. It is more of a natural, dark tone with subtle underlying hints of blue/green toning on the obverse. The reverse is mostly a natural toned silver color. O-109a is a late die state for the die marriage and is referred to as a shattered die (see obverse breaks through date/hair/bust). Due to the die state, there's not much rim left on this variety.....as struck.
1825 Capped Bust Half, O-113, R.1, Net EF. $190. Previously housed in a new generation ANACS AU Details holder due to hairlines caused by a cleaning. This coin has more cartwheel luster than the images would indicate. The subtle green and aqua irridescent toning on the obverse really give this coin nice eye appeal. There's plenty of cartwheel luster on both sides which clearly qualify this coin as a solid AU details coin. Hairlines in the fields net the coin to EF. This coin will NOT certify at PCGS of NGC.
ALSO FOR SALE (not available for imaging yet --- in safety box):
1797 Dime, 13 Star, VG details, but cleaned. Nice looking though. $1,800
1797 Dime, 13 Star, Fine, lightly cleaned, Net VG. Decent coin, also priced at $1,800
Washington Liberty & Security, PCGS AU-53. $1,550
Looking for a Pine Tree Shilling in VG to VF. Please offer (raw coins are okay).
