The Mets

Do they have a chance - now without El Duque too? What bad luck all at once!
Wise men learn more from fools than fools learn from the wise.

Comments

  • Sure they do. This team is gritty, and they always seem to get it done.
  • Blah dodgers had way to many Freaking chances... That double play at home was brutal. Good game by the mets though, how freaking clutch is Delgado.

Wright & Delgado the the rescue!! Willie did a great job managing the game today. What a great play at the plate, too!!! image

willie did make the perfect move pulling maine. but didnt understand why he hit mota with bases juiced..

but hey fans were loud offense struck well. still think with our bullpen we have a shot to win it all.

we get 5 ip and turn to our pen i like our chances..

got to remember this pen has been rested since the all star break. so even the lose of martinez and el duque we still look ok!

    LETS GO METS!

Yes, letting Mota hit with the bases loaded was very odd, even for a regular season game. I guess he may have been thinking that he was going to run short of relievers but the Mets are carrying a 12th pitcher so they have an extra arm out there. And in the playoffs, with the extra off days between games, the bullpen should be ready to shoulder the load.

Watching 49-year-old Julio Franco leg out that grounder to be safe at first and plate a run was a beautiful sight!

    I smell a sweep! image

People on ESPN really picked the Dodgers? Makes no sense - the Mets still look like the best team in the NL, and probably the best team of the remaining 8 in baseball.

Makes about as much sense as having a Red Sox avatar, a Detroit Tigers icon in your sig, and stating the Mets are the team to beat.

I think you know why I have a Tigers logo in my sig, and stating the Mets are the team to beat is just stating my opinion. I don't see anything strange about it.

Isn't there a Derek Jeter Yankeeography you should be watching?

  • Lemme guess, you want the Tiggers to beat the Yankees? Sorry, I don't get the YES network(If thats what you meant by the Jeterography reference). Never have, never will(unless it becomes included at no extra charge onto cable).
