Jeter / Mauer go down to last day 2 points apart

Mauer did not play today. Jeter went 3 for 3. I guess the Twinkies are resting their catcher for the playoffs .... anyway, they go into the last day of the regular season almost tied for the batting title.

    Mauer always rests on a day game after a night game. At least that's what the Twinkies did with him all season.
    Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?
