Not since I was a little kid would I call baseball my favorite sport. Like the rest of the united states, Im more of a (Pro) football guy, I guess primarily because of the every-sunday is a holiday effect the NFL creates... that being said.
with the upcoming MLB playoffs, I found myself getting REALLY EXCITED to see some playoff baseball ! there's just something about the lack of a clock that creates more drama and intesity in a well played game. in a close one, every pitch counts, every good jump gotten, extra base taken, every ball fielded cleanly or bobbled changes the complexion of the game subtle-ly, increasing the pressure of one team, then shifting it to the other ... I almost never watch a full game during the regular season. it just absorbs too much time and there are just so many games. But when it comes to playoffs, I can watch them wire to wire if they're well played.
anyway, just wanted to outlet a bit, im sure there are people out there who feel the same

over particular games. That said, I'm more interested this year since the Tigers are in the playoffs for the first time since 1987.
They will probably have to play the Yankess at some point in the playoffs so I'm not really high on their chances to get to
the world series but anything can happen of course.
