The weight may be on the revere of coarse--or it may just be for assay of compotion- not commerce. I presume the VR is for Victoria Regina. What does the 999.9 mean anyway (purity would be 9.999)? Or is it 6.666 ounces?

This is listed in 4th edition of Unusual World Coins Bruce X#B13 as "spurious silver bars of recent manufacture" nd(1970s). Varying weight of 155 to 160 grams, fineness .999-.9999.
