Great game pitched by Cabrera tonight! He has great stuff but has been up and down all season. Tonight he put it all together

He is one guy a team would be smart to take a chance on. If he can get his act together and consistantly locate his pitches he can be a great pickup.

Maybe the Orioles will actually keep him

They mentioned during the game that the O's are starting up their own TV network, so they certainly will have the funds to hold onto him.
I think the best move that team can make is trying to move Tejada. If they play their cards right they can get back 3, maybe 4 good young prospects for him. It seems to be working well for the Marlins, so it may be worth a chance for them.
It really is a shame to see what has happened to that franchise the past 10 years. I was down in Baltimore for a game just over a month ago and spoke to alot of locals who are just so frustrated with how the team is run. They are great people, in a great city, with a gorgeous stadium and rich tradition. Without a doubt they deserve much better.

the first time I went to Camden yards was right in the middle of the long stretch of sellouts in the mid 90's. What a difference now .... it is sad. Its all on Angelos too.

<< <i>Great game by Cabrera. I saw the highlights on Sports Center and out of those 3 errors I think one of those buggers sharply hit to 3rd base off of Mora's glove was a hit. Also Jeter and A-Rod didn't play. If anybody was going to break it up, it would be Cano. A-Rod playing would not have made a difference but Jeter sure would have. >>
I dont agree with downplaying the great performance by Cabrera with talk of who did or didnt play. Not you, me, or anyone else can know what " could " have happened if others played.
Without Jeter and Arod there is still MORE than enough pop in their lineup, Cabrera just showed great pitching will always beat good hitting.

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12
Looking for Al Hrabosky and any OPC Dave Campbells (the ESPN guy)
<< <i>This has been Cabrera's M.O. throughout his whole career. He can pitch a game that can shut down any team at any time. And then he goes out there and stinks up the joint. I'm hoping Leo Mazzone really is as good of a pitching coach as his reputation says and that he can do something with Cabrera. There's been too many pitchers lately that look like the next big name that fizzle out. >>
Agreed about this being Cabreras MO thus far.
Regarding Mazzone, he isnt looking like anything special since he left Atlanta. The O's pitching has actually been worse up and down the board this year compared to last season.
