Like I said before, I think this coin is more impressive than its gold counterpart. Amazing!
.....GOD
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." -Luke 11:9
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." -Deut. 6:4-5
"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us." -Isaiah 33:22
What did it grade, anyhow? Looks like the rubs on the reverse would hold it down to PR63 or so. Fantastic coin.

Rubs? Jester, have a quart of carrot juice twice each day for a month......hahahahahaha!!!
It's graded as PF65BN, although I've seen many IHCs like this graded as RB. Maybe the image is slightly 'lighter' than the actual coin, and thus the BN colour designation.....who knows.
I just noticed this thread The coin is in a PCGS 65 bn holder but is most definitely a red brown coin. The color designation is not particularly important on this one, in fact I am more upset that they didn't reverse holder the coin when they reholdered it after imaging.
I feel fortunate to own this little gem........ I just wish I could learn more about it. Like so many US patterns I have to wonder why a design this beautiful was never used??

Hip, hip, ol' boy. Tradition's the reason; 200 years worth of Britannia, that is. She had been holding court on coppers since 1672, and that probably was what spelled Una's doom.
Gee, the Lincoln Cent design has plenty of "tread" left.
Edited to add: Remember, it took from 1848, when the decimal Florins were struck as patterns until 1971 for full decimalisation to occur.........BTW, I trust you are adding those 1848 florin patterns to your lovely Una.

<<Una, the personification of the True Church. She travels with the Redcrosse Knight (who represents England), whom she has recruited to save her parent's castle from a dragon. She also defeats Duessa, who represents the false (Catholic) church and the person of Mary, Queen of Scots, in a trial reminiscent of that which ended in Mary's beheading.>>
my modest contribution; now i'm on the hunt to get it's other brothers, the 1 and 5 Sovereign sizes. As for the 'Una' shown earlier in this thread, BREATHTAKING!!
This thread deserves a bump - I missed it the first time around and this pattern is a beauty! I love that beefy lion. He looks like a lion you'd want to be on your side.
hey, that looks familiar! Boiler was kind enough to let me use his picture for my avatar these last few months. Everytime I think of changing it out, I can find anything more beautiful.

If I recollect this is the very coin conserved by NCS.

I guess the gold version would be easier to get.

Don't do it near the coin though.
