Difference in value on AU55 and AU 58 on $10 Gold Indians?

Is there any appreciable difference (on avg) between AU 55 and AU 58 on the $10 Gold Indians? After having viewed several, the coins almost look interchangable between holders. Would I be better off w/ a 58 in the long run? I kind of like the look of the 55 better than the 58 and they are priced comparable. I can't say it will be a "keeper forever" so long term value comes in to play.

Often, an AU58 with a trace of wear is more appealing than a higher graded, heavily bag-marked/abraded MS example.

take a pcgs slabbed example in AU55. Hypothetically it should
have more marks and less luster then an AU58.
The problem you will run into is that many coins on the market
in these grades are terrible looking. People will say that you
need to buy a MS60-62 to get a true AU58 now days.
So the difference in value to me, in the common dates, should
be next to nothing.
Also, if you are new to US gold, over exuberance will make
you blind to obvious problems with coins. Buying online will
make this twice the issue.
