Why double catalogue for an obvious VF coin? Would anyone even consider this borderline XF?

That price is nuts. You can find nicer ones on Ebay for far less any day of the week... heck, I've sold some.

The grade is a little overgraded, but not ridiculous. I'd probably call it a VF25 rather than 35 though...

Because it is lovely and original while most are mid grade circs are skanky.
