1971 PSA 10's ?

As difficult as it is, I think that I may have a Tug McGraw and Dave Concepcion that will grade either a 9 or 10! I am usually very conservative in my estimates, but have seen so many 71's and these two really stand out as gems! I should know within the week.

Good luck CincyKid! Those would get some nice change on eBay or a major auction house if they come out as 10s.

Good luck on the grades. If you haven't owned them since new, take a 10x loupe and inspect for recoloring just to be safe.

Can anyone tell me where I can buy a 10x loupe?

pm "marz" on this board. He's got lighted loupes and handheld blacklights (for detecting recoloring) for sale at reasonable prices.

Good advice. I have owned them for several years and don't have reservations about their integrity. I've had 71's graded 8 and these two really stand out in comparison. Oh those "touched-up" 71's, haven't we all been suckered into buying those! I have dozens from when I was buying very heavy in the late 80's that I later found to be touched.
