Got some bank rolls today!

After being inspired by someones post about getting a roll of walkers from the bank, I bought $80 worth of halves. Low and behold first roll a 1943 Walker, in Vf-20 range (Im no grader but my ANA grading book helped). It was a shock to me because I am new to this and have never even seen a Walker in person let alone hold one in my hand. Went through the rest found the usual 1970's Kennedy's (anyone notice how may bicentennial Kennedy's there are!??) And around roll 7 found a 1952 Franklin in F-12 (again, not the best grader). I was so excited! Great stuff for a guy new to the game. Thanks for the tip's, they do work!
Hey, Im new at this so cut me some slack!!

No school here either. They always close the schools for the first day of the county fair.
nice finds.....you're on your way!

Personally, I like to think of it not as roll search but more along the lines of Modern Day Silver Mining as at the very least, you can walk away with some silver!
The thing with the half dollars is that they just don't circulate and when someone turns a bunch in, if the tellers don't spot the silver, they just get sent to the rollers and end up sitting in some vault somewhere. If you are lucky enough to get them without ordering them at $500 a crack this usually means that someone just turned them in. I have yet to get halves without having to order them.
Congrats and Welcome to the boards. May your stay be long and educational!
