This is a great piece and I have a similar one that is silver plated. It commemorates the transatlantic flight of the ZR3 in 1924. This Zepp was turned over to the US government for war reparations and was renamed the Los Angeles. She flew under US colors until 1932 and was by far the most successful US Zepp.
