    Some of us are not in the loupe in connection with the value of modern Canadian... seems that 120 is cheap, but I have no idea what the range would be for this coin

    Some toner lovers will pay big $$ for toning coins if they want it.

    However, I personally think that the price is way too high. There are alot beautiful toned 1970s Canadian silver dollar out there.

    I think Wallstreetman has been trying to corner the market on these for many years. If I recall correctly, he has slabbed hundreds and hundreds of them, and people had been belittling him for it, saying there are so many of them around that it's a worthless endeavor. But $120 a pop certainly vindicates him!! image

    I don't know much about this series because I don't normally collect Greyside. I will agree with Numismatics, and say that the price realized was probably due to the toning.

    It's all in the toning. Cheap coins with color can bring a big time premium. Just look at some of the lightside coins on Ebay. A $10 coin can suddenly bring $50+ just for some color.
    WTB: Eric Plunk cards, jersey (signed or unsigned), and autographs. Basically anything related to him

    The 1967 boxed sets tone well also. Mine doesn't have the bright colors, but you get the idea.
