53 Down--1970 Topps Super Completed in PSA 8 or Better

Thanks to another fellow collector (Mark Wagner) I am now complete in my 53rd set in PSA 8 or better--1970 Topps Super.

I submitted this 42-card set this spring to PSA that I bought from Mr. Mint Auctions in 1993 and received 2 PSA10s, 28 PSA 9s, 11 PSA 8s and 1 PSA 5--Tim McCarver. In response to my post on the Set Registry Message Board, Mark Wagner jumped in and sold me the McCarver in PSA 8 for a fair price. Thank you Mark. Most sets I am completing are due to the efforts of fellow collectors--not the dreaded ebay.

This set ranks 3rd(Mark is 1st) on the registry with a 8.65 set rating. I plan on letting the set rest at this level.

This represents the 20th set in PSA 8 or better I have completed in PSA 8 or better since year--end 2005.

My goal continues to be 100 sets in PSA 8 or better.

Thanks to all but especially thanks to those who continue to find cards for my sets. The response has been especially good over the last couple of weeks and with any luck someone will find the card that will complete number 54.
