The White Sox might as well call it a season

They are 6 games out in the loss column with 10 games remaining. Thet are folding like the Cleveland Indians did at the end of last season. On the other hand, the Tigers are hanging in their just like the White Sox did last season when the Chisox stumbled but finished strong. Unless the White Sox go on a tear, this season has been pretty diasppointing considering they went out and signed Thome. They probably would have been better off keeping Rowland.

  • It's tough to repeat although I did expect them to make the playoffs.

At least they were in the hunt for most of the year, and still do have a very slim chance to sneak into the playoffs.

Pitching way off from last year. Dont think the Thome trade was bad at all, J Dye really stepped it up too. Overall a decent, winning, dissapointing, season, but the hurlers did not deliver often enough and no repeat is likely. At least 2005 and a world title is not too far away to provide some good memories !!

Gotta give credit to the Twins. They played at a very high level for an extended period of time after a slow first two months of the season. Gardenhire does a great job with that club, year after year.
