Mint's Uncirculated Product Release Info Available

The US Mint has posted Upcoming Product Release Information on their Uncirculated Gold, Silver, and Platinum issues.

Looks like another huge drain on the pocketbook for those looking to buy these issues!
Considering the Mint's popularity these days, do you think these issues are going to be successful?

Best Of Luck!

  • wow, I had just visited this page an hour ago and it wasn't there. Thanks for posting this. A lot of people are upset about these because of the 2-coin uncirc 20th anniversary set. Now here they are as singles.
  • Yep, looks like these are going to be carried on as NEW and be minted for years to come...in gold and silver....They better leave that Reversed ASE and AGE alone for this year only.

    I believe that these new items will prove

    less then salutory.

  • Let's see....

    - kinda different from the other Unc. but not really except for the mintmark;
    - NO mintage limit;
    - same as what's in those 2-pc AE sets....

    Pass...

    P.S.- the US Mint looks more like the RCM every day...
    Rufus T. Firefly: How would you like a job in the mint?

    Chicolini: Mint? No, no, I no like a mint. Uh - what other flavor you got?

    Well, I guess that solidifies it for me. I guess I'll be cancelling a couple of my anniversary sets just for economics sake! The only coin that will be special from that set will be the reverse proof as both of the other coins are available singularly at a much lower cost!

    Not only that but I already have 4 of the proofs! Heck, I already have a roll of the unc's!

    Does anybody suppose that the reverse proof will have a life after 2006?
    I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Well if this is true then it'll be at least a $100 coin because that's what each one will cost! image

  • I'm thinking the the fractional platinums will be an extremely low mintage item and with the changing reverses every year, may be a pretty decent speculative opportunity.

    Hey, how come the Platinums are using the reverse design of the Proof platinums, and not the regular design????

  • There is no mention of limits on the uncircs at all! Including the platinums.
    All descriptions claim that this is the "INAUGURAL YEAR" of the specially
    burnished blank coins and that they are a "new collectible version"!
    of the gold, platinum, and silver eagles.
  • First thing I'll be doing is comparing the look of the new uncirc. silver eagle collectible coin and the silver eagle bullion coin.

    I think there killing the "cash cow" just too many products being offered that I'm going to stop buying all of them. I'm not interested in spending thousands of dollars a year to collect mint products that aren't special in any way.
