Just left Message for US Mint Director of Marketing

That was super easy!

I never was put on hold and ask to be put through to her voicemail where I left her a message. Of course this is the 20th Anniversary set issue which I am very ticked about. And for people wanting to flame..I am more upset with their fraudly (yes I made up a new word for my own purposes) oriented press releases.

It is one thing to screw the collectors thoughtlessly. It is quite another to attempt to fool them and thus actually plan and execute a "screw em over for profit" strategy.

Anyway. I encourage anyone to call and let your thoughts be communicated. What the Mint did was insulting at the least and very unprofessional.

The Director of Sales and Marketing for the US Mint is Gloria Eskridge. The main line number is 202-354-7500. Just ask for her and you will be directed to her office. Her assistant will answer and give the option of speaking with someone else or leaving a voice mail.

For those that are interested...now is your chance to lodge a formal complaint. Or you can get the email or physical address and send it in that way. Takes less than 5 minutes.

I hope it either works or makes you feel better. I'm thinking only the latter will prevail.

    I am calling now

  • I left a message earlier as noted and asked for a call back and stated I thought their actions were akin to fraud.

If I dont' hear back soon, I fully plan to do a follow up call and I will post the results of that call here.

You do realize that as soon as you start demanding things, and mentioning the word "Fraud", a lot of people canNOT call you back and it goes to their legal department?

If you don't get a callback from the person, I wouldn't take it as a slight, if you mentioned "fraud". She may be told NOT to call you back.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • The Mint Director's voice mail is probably like my email, overworked and ignored.......Don't hold your breath......

That's why I just left a message of heavy breathing

  • I just realized that I didn't leave my name and number for a callback. As my call was all heavy breathing, they'll presume that it was Russ calling....................again!

  • IMHO, the best way to register your opinion with the Mint is to cancel or reduce your order if you're really upset. Personally, I plan on purchasing all 3 sets of the ASE's I ordered. The reverse proof looks neat and the sets are the only way you can get that specific coin. The 2006-W will still undoubtedly be the lowest uncirculated Eagle mintage to date, it just won't be the extreme rarity that we expected.

I hope Gloria breaks a nail because she has to hit 337 too many times.

(337 is one of the commands in many voice mail systems that takes you to the end of a message and deletes it.)
