1975 topps wax box!

Hi Folks,

I've been a lurker on this board and a poster on the non-sports board for Magic the Gathering. I still collect baseball too and I have been recollecting the 1984 donruss and 1975 topps sets; especially unopened packs. I ust stumbled upon this auction for a 1975 topps regualr size wax box. What are your opinions of this auction? Does it seem kosher? My concerns are that the seller does not take paypal and whether the packs are likely to be tampered or opened. I emailed the seller about these concersn and if he would give me a written guarantee (sp?) that the packs are unopened.

What do you folks think?

1975 topps wax box auction

let's see...all the big stuff that he shows (not private) were bought from buyers with little or no feedback.
Then the big items that weren't kept private for whatever reason...2 of them show positives, but also say that the buyers got refunds and not the product!! The 77 Mexican football wrappers being one...the 1976 Wax box being another.

It just seems funn to me that in 8+ years of Ebay for me...I have never lost a package and had to give a refund....this guy has 2 within months on high end items?????????

Seems fishy....and with no paypal or credit card protection....I'd run from this guy.

Oh so tempting...however, I collect the regular size only. If you can get your hands on a regular box it will be bought. Thank you for the offer!

I will head the advice and keep away from the auction. I also noticed the refunds and that there were so many private auctions.

that box is resealed do not bid, stay away!!!! a board member on the ebay wax pack group bought some stuff from this guy and it was all resealed

I am pretty sure that they were referring to the box that the original poster was referencing.

Stay away! His auction are private for a reason and he doesn't accept Paypal for a reason, and both those reasons are BAD.
