you usually wind up making more money, have better jobs, and are psychologically way more adjusted/well rounded than non-nerds because you're forced to develop something called a "personality". that being said.
Poo poo on the mint. I can't wait til the start selling those reverse proofs as individual coins !!!

I'm not that old nor do I wear glasses, but most coin collectors and coin dealers are posterchilds of the nerd stereotype and the three traits as you've stated.
I have seen the commercial, and I sort of like it. I don't see anything wrong with the ad since almost any publicity is good publicity for this hobby and business.

Harvey Pekar: What movie could be worth driving 260 miles round trip for?
Toby Radloff: It's a new film called Revenge of the Nayerds. It's about a group of nayerd college students who are being picked on all the time by the jocks. So they decide to take revenge.
Pekar: So what you're saying is, you identify with those nerds.
Toby: Yes. I consider myself a nayerd. And this movie has uplifted me. There's this one scene, where a nayerd grabs the microphone during a pep rally and announces that he is a nayerd and that he is proud of it and stands up for the rights of other nayerds.
Pekar: Right on.
Toby: Then he asks all the kids at the pep rally who think they are nayerds to come forward, so nearly everybody in the place does. That's the way the movie ends.
Pekar: Uhhmmm, so the nerds won, huh?
Toby: Yes.
Pekar: All right. Wow, well you know, you got this movie and I'm getting hitched. We both had a good month, huh?
