How frustrating! 
I've sent two emails to eBay support trying to alert them with a problem on the auction listings I've been noticing recently. The items appear in my current auctions listing view shortly after I list them but then they later disappear for hours before reappearing. They keep telling me it takes time for the system to update to be searchable by bidders. I can't seem to get them to understand the concept of a seller's auctions listing page. I've only listed about 3000 auctions before and never had a problem finding my items after they first appear on my auction page.
Has anyone else seen this problem lately? Has anyone found an eBay staffer than understands the eBay website?

We can all pray for the day that there's a viable alternative to Ebay. Until then we'll just have to keep the quart jar of Vaseline at arm's length everytime we venture into the seemy world of online auctions.
