How is a slabbed coin that does not cross different from a raw coin that bodybags for this purpose?
  • What happened with you?
I just sent some coins in for crossover + photo, half crossed, none were photographed.
I called to find out why, they insisted I didn't mark it. I did. They said they'd look into it and get back to me.
There was a garbled message on my telephone later today and I couldn't make out what they said, other than it was pcgs calling.

The difference is that PCGS images raw coins only and the body bagged coin is raw while the DNC coin is slabbed. To image it the DNC coin would need to be cracked out of it's slab.
  • Because Phil can't image coins in slabs. image

jk. He's a truly astounding coin photographer. I marvel at his work whenever someone posts a True View image here. Amazing!
