Coin promotions by retailers

Picked up a Morgan that came from a promotion by Tide some years back.

I also remember back in the 1970's some pool chlorine company had a promotion where top prize was a BU set of Peace Dollars.

Anyone else remember anything other promotions like that?

Not sure if this fits your description, but immediately came to mind.

At my local American Legion Post (And nearly every other private club in my area) we have these Pull-Tabs, tickets, discs, whatever you want to call them in a "Bell Jar".

For $1.00 you get a ticket to open. The Legion goes through a few games a week, and one that gets filtered in every few months has proof sets, Morgan and/or Peace dollars, Silver ASE, etc as some of the instant win prize. I think the last batch had 63 silver coins/sets and the big prize was a outdoor smoker (the meat type). Don't ask me how these games get thought of, but I like when they are there.

Aren't there Morgans that a bank gaveaway as a promotion for opening an account many many years ago?
