Screw Santa, he has no rings and only comes through one night of the year. Its all about Ryan Howard and company. Time
    to mash the Cubs tonight.

Strange and I'm not sure why...but the Phillies seem to have a "cult" following by a number of sports fans around the country. With Howard doing what he's doing, that fan base will certainly increase. The Phils have has a lot of "likable" players over the years - maybe that's the reason - it certainly isn't because of all the winning. Harry Kalas, perhaps the best baseball broadcaster out there and the voice of NFL films, could be another reason - people enjoying the Phillies broadcasts.

Another win tonight, the pitching is starting to take on a post season form. My only concern is that the Dbacks are going to lay down
like a bunch of girls. Would anyone of thought that the wild card would come out of the West in the NL? It looks like the Phils
are going to get no help. We just need to keep winning.

I have too many bad memories of the Marlins to assume they're going to play lights out in the next 2 weeks.

please PLEASE I dont want to see the Pads do an Astros impression last season...

astros didn't lose a friggin game down the stretch and the phils finished 1 game behind image

We just need to keep winning.

And with a winning pct of .517 that doesn't bode to well. Though lucky for the Phils they won't get smoked by the Mets in the first round. image

Ask any Mets fan, they want no part of the Phils in the playoffs, whether it be first or second round.

Yeah, ok, we fear a .500 team like the Phonies. We're quaking in our boots! image

The Mets do not impress me, but not one NL team does. As good as the Mets are offensively, I can easily envision them losing in the first round if the Phillies make it.

how'd the mets do against the phils this year ? play'd em even ?

every time Pedro goes out, he winds up losing and crying.
glavine couldn't throw a ball through a pane of glass, and el duque is 77 years old.

philles can throw 3 quality lefties at the mets ... and if pat "the bat" can play against anyone.. it's the METSIES !

    The Eagles will be fine!

The Phillies might make it but the Pads gotta lose.

We do not fear the METS. They can be beat!

Yeah, if we spot you a two games to none lead, maybe! image

The Mets are far superior to the Phillies up and down the lineup and in the bullpen, where it counts most in the postseason. Let's see if the mighty Phils can even win the wildcard first!

You all will have to excuse grote, he is new to baseball. He never saw the Marlins or the Angles win rings. Certainly Bonds and
Jeter are better players than Dontrelle and Garret Anderson.

    (lmao)

You'll have to excuse Kevin, he is new to football. He never saw the Bucs score a TD.

BTW, where do the "Angles" play?? Never heard of that team. image

    What an insightful response.

But coming from you, it's a marked improvement over the mindless banter you usually spew.

My, aren't we bitter tonight, Ax. Must be that offensive drought the Bucs are going through!

Wow, you're original, real cutting edge.

Fact is you're boring and too predicatble to even respond to anymore. Find someone else to spew your ignorant nonsense to. image
