Now that the mint is evil...

Is anyone still going to buy the SF Mint commems? I have an order for 1 each, but now I'm thinking of cancelling (that gold 3 pc set me back a bit). Seems like this commem is going to be killed by bad PR and a Dec 15 ship date.

  • Had to wait for the Benjamin Franklins. I think that's pretty standard to have to wait.

  • When I was cancelling my 20th sets, I zapped the SF coins too.

I'll just buy a savings bond and be done with it.

When I saw that they had sold 60,000 of the 200,000 limit by Aug 1st, I cancelled my order. They will never be rare and the only interesting aspect of the design is the reverse.

I cancelled all my order except those commems, I think they'll look great !
  • Why ditch the commems, they are not going the same route as the uncirc AE coins
  • Anyone know how many of the gold commems are sold?

  • Bathwater with the baby. Legacy sets went bye-bye too.

As of the end of August, more than 20K of proof $5 gold Old Mint Commemoratives and close to 10K of uncirculated $5 gold
I don't remember the sold quantity of dollars
