Has anybody ever gotten by with this?

....sending in a $8 per card "modern" submission and including a couple of cards earlier than 1972? My submission has not been entered yet. I just caught my error. Has anybody done that? Did you get by with it? Will they let it slide and go ahead and grade the two cards (a 1971 Topps and a 1965 Topps) along with my modern cards? Or, will they have to be graded on a different invoice with me having to pay for two return shipments? That would stink.

Any feedback would be helpful.

your submission will sit on the problem shelf until you call, and even then they may take a while to find it.
You will probably have to authorize them (via email) to charge your CC for another submission and shipping for those 2 cards.

Don't worry about it I will call on your behalf and have them send the cards back to me....



Call them and explain...i'm sure it would not be a problem but it may take a bit longer

I did the same before without a problem. I put a 1959 card in with a post '72 special. No problem at all. They just graded it and charged me $5 like all the others. I have also sent in some borderline sized cards, and they placed them in tallboy holders without any additional costs or problems.

I would say that as long as it didn't happen everytime, and there was only one or two, that it wouldn't matter. That is the way it seems to me, anyways.
