A Youth's Tale ll - I Want My Wheaties Back

I want my Wheaties back,
I yelled the whole day through.
I love them and need them,
Nurse them and feed them,
Certainly everyone knew.
I collect them and save them,
And treasure them one and all.
I keep them and store them,
And totally adore them,
In bottles boxes and jars.
In books or on board,
I have quite a hoard,
It's really a sight to see.
If you need a good date,
Early or late,
I surely have them all.
In ' 58 I got the word;
The Wheatie was no more.
A new design was on the way,
Tradition didn't matter.
My heart was broken, what can I say?
My life now shreds and tatters.
For 50 years the back was fine,
And now you tell me no?
I thought things stayed the same,
No matter where you go.
A lesson learned so long ago,
Has stood the test of time.
Things change, my son, They always do.
Those wheats now worth a dime.

Oh boy...this could be a bad thing.........image
