PSA =Tough Grading

Hi ,I am only a few weeks new to PSA.I submitted 27 cards for grading last week.I got an email for the grades to be viewed.I was surprised at the grades,but I can respect their opinion.That is why I am not a grader.It made me realize how hard it must be to get a 9 or 10.I really thought that a few of these cards were 9's.I did get a few 8's and the rest were 7's.Pretty nice cards for a 7.It gives me a new respect for how nice a 9 or 10 must be.

    I am not an expert on 75 Topps but it seems they are tough cards to begin with. Its only your first sub to psa. You will improve next time around. I know my first sub wasnt that good.

  • welcome to the world of the colorful yet condition sensitive sets of the early 70's!!

    The 71's are brutal...I actually gave up grading mine..75's have to look like they just came out of the pack...9's aren't too hard...and I've actually popped a few 10's...but very very few and far in between.

  • I agree with the 71's.About 2 years back I cracked a 71 rack and pulled a Clemente.I submitted it to BGS.It recieved an 8.5.I sold it on Ebay for 270.00.I wish I could re-think things,because I would have kept it.That was ane nice card.

  • If the grade with PSA does not fit.............you must resubmit!!!
  • What do you mean re-submit?

  • Remove the card from the slab and send it back to be regraded.

    A crapshoot.

    Some cards have been resubmitted dozens of times.

    Eventually, you may get the grade you had in mind.
  • Thanks.I will keep that in mind for the future.I am curious to see what the other cards were graded.Any idea when I can expect them?I submitted them all together,but only the first invoice was posted.

    some of my BEST cards were initially PSA 8 NM-MT. On their first resubmission, they were PSA 10 GEM MT. Practice makes perfect!!!!!!!
