What do you think of the color of this Lincoln?

I found this in a roll of circulated wheat cents, the color is pastel iridesence, really rather pretty.
What could have caused it, and the sharp line of separation between toned and brown?
Environmental damage?
Thanks.

Yes, did the finger print cause the color? That's really what I'm looking for here.

The sharp line of separation between in the toning could be some sort of chemical agent that rested on the coin. It's not pretty in my opinion, but this might be a coin you have to see in-hand.
<< <i>There is a theory that oil from fingerprints can enhance the toning on silver coin. However, I've never seen colorfully toned Lincolns with fingerprints (this case excluded).

That makes sense. I think the color is pretty, but the coin itself is kinda funky looking.
What chemical could have come in contact with the coin?

<< <i>These coins are really reactive Amanda. Add to that, these older Lincoln's have been treated like pennies (
So it's just the accumulation of life.
Thanks!

To be honest, it could be any one of a million things. Coca Cola, gasoline, dirty pond water, exposure to the weather, you name it.
