JOKE is the word of the day.

I go with V Tech -36 against Duke. Tech misses 2 xtra points. Enough said, FREAKING JOKE FIX GARBAGE.

I feel your pain perk, but I doubt that the kicker was in on a fix. One of those 2 missed PATs was after the very first TD of the game, so missing the second wasn't that surprising. Also, he hit a 42-yarder early in the second quarter, too.

Another thing that frosted my A$$, last play of the second quarter Tech gets the ball down to the 14ish yard line, clock stops instead of spiking the ball the QB fumbles the snap and END OF HALF...NO FG, NO TD ATTEMPT!!!!

I know Im whining and everybody has a story but it just really pi$$ed me off. 500 clams I should have had!

  • it's never easy to give up 36, but it was the right call. to fade temple, i've had to give up 42 points in back to back weeks with louisville and minnesota, and both times temple lost 60something to nothing image

however, you got a bad line. i always saw that line -34.5 or -35.

It was a late call in, I prolly could have had it at that earlier, either way its a bunch of bullsh!t.
  • yeah, that's a shi|ty loss.

i kinda like colorado tonight. i think they'll catch asu looking ahead. the +420 ml is too sexy to pass up.

i guess i just turned into an auburn fan since war eagle just made me a nickle and i moved to birmingham......

Laying 36 points is a risky play, too many variables at work, and a late garbage-time TD (or missed PAT) winds up killing you more often than not.

I agree its risky and believe me I would not feel so pi$$ed of if they won like 36-7 or even 36-3, the fact that 2 count 'em TWO FREAKIN EXTRA POINTS MISSED happened, ok fine miss 1 but TWO!!!! Whatever, I will go to bed angry and wake up angry for a few days but I will get over it.

Anyways no need to beat it into the ground, thats gambling for ya. Sorry to complain and thanks for listening.

I agree with you there, perk, the odds of missing two PATs are very long to begin with, especially for a guy who nailed a 42-yarder earlier in the game.

For people who cry about fixed games, I've got one question for you.

    Then why do you bet?

    Because

    a) You don't know which side the fix is in on, so it's 50-50 either way, and
    b) Because most college games are totally unwatchable unless you have a financial interest in the outcome.

I agree with you that most college games are unwatchable unless there's something monetary on the line, but if people knew the games were indeed fixed, what's the point in crying about the fixing afterwards? image

Well really, betting on a fixed game is not as stupid as pumping quarters into a slot machine. In those, you already know the fix is on and you already know it's against you.
