Error by NGC

This auction features an 1887 maundy threepence, certified by NGC. It turns out that the maundy set issued in 1887 depicted the young head. The Jubilee Head was not featured on maundy coinage until 1888.

This is probably a currency 3d with some P/L characteristics, typical for the era.
