Who's the BEST large auction house for this Yankees Ball?

Need some help from the pros...I won this last night, with a 100% guarantee from the family and the local auction house. My question is which auction service, Mastro, Heritage, Mile High, etc is this ball best suited for? It will be on it's way to JSA or PSA/DNA this week...Hoping for the best! Thanks for you expert opinions.

I think you'd do best in Mastro, and let them send it to JSA. You should get it in for 5% commission.

Send it to PSA/DNA yourself then give ebay a try. Decide what the minimum you want for it is and set a reserve. It will only cost you a few bucks to try and may save you the commision youd otherwise have to give mastro.

If Mastro highballs you, tell 'em you'll take it to REA.

  • Excuse my ignorance but what is REA? And it take it that Mastro is regarded "better" than Heritage, Mile High (who by the way has offered ZERO fees). Again, I am new to this "High End" stuff, and just want the very best return on my substantial investment. Thanks again guys, you are the best!

REA is an excellent auction house, but Rob's only running 1 auction a year, in the spring.
Regardless of what % anyone else offers, I think Mastro is the best bet of the ones named in this thread.

  • Thanks so much for all of your advice, the ball is headed to Mastro for the December sale...at a very attractive commission rate...Thanks Morrellman and Griffins!!!! You guys are great, as is this forum...we little guys need this forum to rely on the experts of this board. Also thanks to PSA for the forums!
