1979 Canada Cent date doubling

Hey everyone. FOund this canadian cent in a roll of pennies. I was about to toss it in the box with my other canadian modern currency when i noticed the date appeared to have some doubling in it.
I apologize for the quailty and size of these pics, but it is very difficult to try to get a good close up shot of the date. I've tried a few different methods but these are the best i could manage. The biggest sign of doubling is in the last "9" which you can see with the naked eye. (that's how i noticed it) This is all you can see with the camera as well. However with a good magnifying glass, you can also see the doubling in the bottom stroke of the "7" as well as more doubling around the first "9".
Does this cent have any value greater than 1 cent? In other words is it worth researching further, or just shelve it away in my collection as something special.

Again, the quality of the pics isn't all that good, you can barely make out the doubling on the last 9

1979 is a nice year for varieties such as doublings. Actually, there are some different doublings just on the date. Some has doubling whole date while some has only part of the date been doubled. Yours also have doubling on the leafs which is above the "1" of 1979.
I have one 1979 in Unc. which has combination of doubling dates, error clip and rotated dies.
As for the value, I will say not worth alot, maybe under $1. But in high grades such as MS65 could worth something more.

Wow, nice job noticing that. I didn't even see it. I looked at the actual coin again with the magnifying glass and noticed the doubling around the leaf as well. There is also some present on the stem right next to the "9" that i can see with the glass. Also, on close examination, i beleive there is slight doubling around the 1 which is barely seen.
I'm gonna hang onto this coin
