Autograph question

I think I read somewhere that PSA does not grade autographs unless it came from the manufacturer or certified by dna. I sent in a card and it came back graded but there really isn't anything on it that says its autographed. Why don't they give me something that says yes its signed or no? I mean I am sure it's real, but it seems like they should confirm this with the cert #, confirmation email or at the very least a letter included when card is shipped back. Im just confused and any info woulod be appreciated. Thanks!

The second card is a non-factory auto with no grade.

What should i do? They wouldn't have graded it if it wasn't real right? I mean a million dollar card is worth 0 with a fake name on it isn't it?

Call someone at psa and explain the situation. Email them a scan if need be. Obviously its gonna have to wait till Monday

I had the same problem.



Give a call to PSA and tell them the situation. You will need to return the card to have the mechanical error fixed. I sent my card back to PSA and they corrected the flip.

I had a situation of a another matter which I had to send a card back. I paid to get it there and they paid to get it back to me. It wouldnt hurt to ask if they could reimburse you.

This is PSA's policy regarding autograph cards. Any company certified autograph card 1998 and newer can be submitted to PSA for grading. Any card 1997 and older needs to go through their PSA/DNA service. Unless you ask PSA to grade the card as well as the autograph, you will end up with the "Authentic" designation. This signifies that the autograph is real. If you want the card graded also, you will end up with a grade and a PSA/DNA cert #.
For Registry purposes the "Authentic" card is considered a "1".

It could be very likely that you only paid to have the card graded. And that is all that they did.

PSA should not grade and holder a card with an autograph and not consider the autographs authenticity. If just the card is graded and the autograph not considered, it should have an MK qualifier. If the card is gaded and the autograph authenticated, it should say PSA/DNA certified. There is no middle ground here.
