yahoo sports has been on this guy's nuts for over a year now, and nothing has been proven. Yahoo is so desperate to be seen as a sports news source they've been hounding this guy at every turn.

It will have NO affect on his cards, and, if anything, only thrust him even further into the limelight, making his cards even more valuable.

I sense a west coast hater here, and its YOU, junk.
  • anyone noticed had ripped reggie has gotten, i just saw a interview and man his arms are huge! this guy is a beast, being a ucla fan i have no idea how i root for him but i do.

won't hurt his nfl career, i guess you didnt see the part where it says : has nothing to do with NFL...

so he gets a few records taken away, or a national title, everyone knows they won it.. hell i wouldnt take a ring if i was the other team, imagine how shamefull that crap would be... convo : "so tell me how did you get your ring" "well we lost badly and were beaten to a pulp by usc, our qb got made look foolish and is now out of football, but we got the rings on a assumption that some guy took money"...

Agreed Randy.....wont affect his NFL career one bit.

I also agree completely about " winning " the college title thing....if you cant win it outright, its not worth getting at all.

These high school kids (and they are kids) know where to attend college to get perks and line their pockets. No big surprise if its true. It's seems to be the same half dozen schools all the time that walk that fine line. The era of the student athlete is a joke at many institutions of higher learning. image

Bush is just one of those guys that got caught. I'm sure most of the high profile college athletes receive some type of 'special benefit'. I don't think for a second he should lost his Heisman, though. O.J. still has his!

Now IM....please tell me that you don't actually believe the almighty Brady Quinn or any of his teammates to be innocent of any wrongdoings?

I would bet it occurs more often than not in College.....and I don't care what college.

Agreed Goose, it happens everywhere. Even while still in high school. A guy I hung around with in high school was very highly recruited, was Long Island football player of the year, ended up going to Pitt, and was drafted in baseball by the Mets didnt do a damn bit of work in school. He took every one of his tests in study hall and had the answers handed to him.

I havnt seen him in years, but he ended up riding the bench at Pitt, probably not graduating and working some low paying job now. These guys are so catered to its unhealthy. For every Reggie Bush that makes millions after not working for it there is 1000 kids who end up with no education and no future because of it.

Goose, you know as well as I do that kids get tempeted at every college and it often boils down to their character and intelligence to stay out of trouble. There are some colleges that don't look as hard at alumni and alumni groups and what their kids are doing. Throw those kids into this situation who come from broken homes, couldn't make it in college if they weren't athletes and you have a perfect storm brewing. If you are going to take questionable kids then expect these sort of problems. Yes even ND has been guilty of this, but the facts are many of these type of kids don't get admitted, but you alread knew that. image

You also know that when certain schools get busted, it comes as no surprise, such as FSU. We shrug it off as business as usual.
  • but it happens at every school so what's the difference here? cause he got caught? won't have any effect on his heisman
