What I hate

BIN = $73

I send "Best offer" = $65

I get message that Best Offer has been declined (no problem)

New BIN=$80

I probably would have given $73, but not $80, and not to him.

  • Its just like going to the flea market or show and seeing the same items on the same tables for 5 years straight. They start out (five years ago) at 100.00, doesnt sell and they snicker at offers, bump it up to 150 the following year and 200 the year after that, and it still sets on the table. Good marketing strategy...........

    Offer him $60, see what he does.
  • Argh. I know what you're talking about. I bought 4 of the same card (different serial numbers) off a seller on feeBay that had been sitting there for over a month in their store. Then they put up two more (different serial numbers) for about 14% more and I bought those. Then they put 5 more up and jack the price up 50%.

    I want them because they're #'d out of 25 and I'm trying to get them all but I have to draw the line somewhere. They sit there for 2 months. None sell and the price remains the same. The player then gets diagnosed with cancer and is out for the year (maybe more). The price still remains the same.

    I don't blame them at all for hiking the price because if someone is willing to pay then you might as well. But you would think that since I'm the only one buying these cards and even I've stopped purchasing them maybe they'd reconsider and drop it back down a bit since, let's face it, they know I'll buy them all. To their credit (or detriment, depending on how you look at it) maybe they're just completely out of touch with their store.

    Then again, there are a lot of things sellers (and buyers) on eBay do that I simply can't -- and probably will never be ale to -- grasp.
